Tcc Fall 2023 Calendar
Tcc Fall 2023 Calendar – After months of working and learning at home, the students, faculty and staff returning to Northwestern this fall will be largely unchanged. The administration building, WADM, the first visible structure, represents the first part of the original school core, which is now gone and will be demolished as part of a $311 million investment.
It will eventually be joined by WSTU (Student Center, Media Services), WTLO (Walsh Library, Theater), WFAB (Fine Arts), and WCTS (Counseling/Testing, Math, Science).

That won't happen for some time, according to the latest schedule released in April by the project's general contractor, Skanska. This schedule includes disruption of WTLO, WSTU and WFAB from April to October 2023.

Northwest retirees may be sad to pass the buildings where they spent most of their careers, but there is a bright side. The mantle that covered most of the original structure is lost with them.
But when some things fall, others rise. The main part of the plan consisted of four new buildings, now known only as Nos. 1-4 (see Campus Annex). Buildings 1 and 2 are scheduled to begin construction in July 2021 and be completed in January 2023 (Building 1) and March 2023 (Building 2).
Buildings 3 and 4 are scheduled to begin in October 2023 and be completed in March and May 2025.

In addition to WSBA (Nursing, Physical Plant) and WHPE (Vocational Technical Education), two other original Northwestern buildings will be "refurbished" and receive new exterior cladding in place of the original brick. Work will begin in July 2021 and continue through May and July 2022. The WACB, a classroom overlooking Ocean Lake, has a new look. The work is scheduled from May 2025 to January 2026.
Other school buildings currently outside of the redevelopment include Ocean Creek High School, the Criminal Justice Training Center, the Police Academy Shooting Range and the Fire Department Training Center.

This map shows access to the current campus, and the one below shows what the campus will look like in 2025. Soar Ahead is an accelerated bachelor's degree program designed for students who wish to transfer to a four-year bachelor's degree program. Through Soar Ahead, students can earn an AA degree, which traditionally takes two years.
The first group of students will start in the fall of 2022. According to the graduation plan and course schedule, these students will graduate in late summer 2023.
Soar Ahead has only eight classes per week, meaning a student can complete 24 credit hours in a traditional 16-week course. It should be noted that although the schedule is more rigorous, the coursework and learning outcomes are the same as traditional 16-week courses.
Full Season Ticket Memberships
Your AA degree consists of 60 credit hours, of which 36 credit hours are general education courses and 24 credit hours are general education. The table below shows how you can complete all of your credit hours in just three semesters.
Although not required, entering the program with at least a 3.0 GPA is recommended because the program is fast-paced and rigorous.
If you can earn college credits through programs like dual enrollment and advanced placement, you'll go even faster. Take 45 credits through dual enrollment and AP, which means you can more easily earn an AA degree.

Accelerated courses have a strong pace. You have to sacrifice time with family and friends, many social activities and hobbies to prioritize your studies.
Soar Ahead is designed for students who are currently living and studying. This means going to each class ready to study, learn, tackle assignments and projects, and create a structured time management plan. The commitment makes this type of program very challenging, so you should come to this program with good study habits. All new students at Tacoma Community College (TCC) are required to complete an orientation. New Student Orientation (NSO) provides an overview of programs and services for support at TCC.
If you are a student in one of the following programs (International Student, Running Start, Fresh Start, Basic Adult Education (BEdA), English Acquisition (ELA), High School Complete, or Continuing Education), contact the program to complete your studies. Lan. special program. Direction.
