BOARD PUBLIC COMMENT During regular board meetings, the public comment portion is limited to 30 minutes. Each participant will have a maximum of 3 minutes. Private comments are limited to the first ten people who register themselves. Once the maximum 10 participants are reached, everyone can still participate by providing written comments. Registration forms for personal comments are available beginning one hour prior to the regular board meeting in the district board meeting room.

PUBLIC COMMENTS WITTEN PUBLICS – Anyone may submit written public comments electronically by completing this FORM until 6:00 pm on the day of the meeting. All comments will be reviewed by the Board and will appear in the minutes of the meeting.
Public input is important to the Alpine School District and helps to understand public attitudes and interests. Finally, it is not a forum for discussion or open debate between the Board and the patron. A district employee will respond to patrons who request a follow-up meeting or information.

Julie King is a mother of 4 and a strong advocate for education in all its forms to meet the needs of every child. Julie graduated from BYU in 1997 with a degree in Family Sciences with an emphasis in Human Development. She worked as a social worker, specializing in abused and neglected children as well as victims of domestic violence. Julie and her husband are former foster parents and have a special place in their hearts for older, neglected children.
She is a strong advocate for Dual Language Immersion as she has had children participate in Spanish and Chinese Immersion programs. He also strongly supports the Advanced Learning Lab as well as supporting students with disabilities.

Julie has served on numerous PTA boards as well as PTA President at Riverview Elementary and Westlake PTA Council President. He has served on the SCC for several schools and has been appointed to serve on the Alpine District Community Council. She was appointed by the Utah State Board of Education to serve on the Student Privacy Advisory Group. In 2012, she was honored to be named a Utah Mothers' Congress Delegate. In 1999, he was the Utah County Children's Advocate.
Proud to call herself a nerd, Julie loves history, travel, and is an avid reader. He is also a published author.
Amber Bonner was elected to the Alpine School District Board of Education in 2018. She has lived in Utah County all her life – graduated from Pleasant Grove High School . He received his Bachelor of Arts in English (with a Business Minor) from Brigham Young University.

Amber is married to David Bonner and they have seven children. Two have graduated from Alpine District schools, and the other five are still in elementary and middle school. She has a great passion for helping ASD students get the best possible education.
Amber has spent many years serving the community and the Alpine School District. Amber especially enjoyed being president of the Marching Band Booster at LPHS for two years, serving as president of the Winter Drumline Booster for two years, and serving for two years on the Choir Office. He served on the Lone Peak High School Community School Council for two terms. Elected to the Cedar Ridge Elementary School Community Council for five terms (ten years), and was president for five years. She also held several positions in the PTA at Cedar Ridge, including Watch Dogs Coordinator, Home Reading Coordinator and Parent. At Mountain Ridge Junior High, she served two terms on the School Community Council and was on the PTA Board for four years. Additionally, Amber served as the age group coordinator for North Utah County Soccer for ten years, coordinating the soccer team and overseeing the youth referees. Amber has spent over 10 years working with the Boy Scouts of America in various capacities, from planning cub scout day camps, to serving as a camp leader, participating in of the Eagle Court of Honors as an Eagle Guide and served for five years as the national advancement chair. troops with more than 50 scouts.
Amber's favorite volunteer position is where she gets to work directly with the exceptional teachers and incredible students at the local school. She continues to spend several hours each week volunteering in her children's classrooms, and loves seeing the students learn and grow each week.

Sarah graduated from Orem High School in 1988. She attended UVU until serving as an LDS Spanish-speaking missionary in Tempe, Arizona from 1990-1992.
She married Sam Beeson in 1992. Sam taught English at American Fork High School. They have 5 children and 4 children.
Sarah's years as a state and district representative added to her twenty years of volunteer work in Alpine schools. He believes in children. Her love for children has led her to serve on various PTA boards, as PTA president, community council member, community council president , cheerleader for high school basketball (American Heritage), and bandleader for the American Fork High School Marching Band. Sarah is a dedicated family advocate and believes that nothing is more important to academic success than a student's relationship with their parents.

Dr. Mark Clement was elected to the Alpine School District Board of Education in 2017. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Oregon State University in 1994. BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University. Prior to completing his PhD, Mark worked at Digital Equipment Corporation on their workstation products. He was also the founder of ICON, a start-up company that produced disk servers and data machines.
Mark has served as a Professor of Computer Science at Brigham Young University since 2011. He specializes in Family History research and research into automated transcription of handwritten documents. . She is a big supporter of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields and wants to encourage girls to prepare themselves for college in these fields.
He enjoyed many years of volunteer and community service, including 10 years with the Boy Scouts of America and several years as a District Commissioner. Mark has coached baseball, basketball and football and often takes youth groups rock climbing at local canyons. He rides his bike from Lindon to BYU and is an environmental champion. He has served for many years on the Community School Council at Pleasant Grove High School, and is active in school and education advocacy.

Ada Wilson was elected to the board in 2018, her first term. A native of South Carolina, he attended BYU as a Presidential Scholar. She and her husband, Keith, have eight children and are the grandparents of thirteen. They raised their family in Laie, Hawaii, Provo, and Orem for the past 32 years. Ada has been a passionate supporter of public schools, a volunteer, leader and advocate for over 30 years in various positions in the PTA and on local school community councils and the district.
In the community, Ada is a Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout leader, and an active member of Women United of Utah County. He represented his political constituency and was a full-time missionary for his church. Her hobbies include following current events, playing the piano, family outings, and doing puzzles.
As a representative on the Alpine School Board of Education, Ada focuses on student achievement through strong teacher support, strategic planning for of academic success, and commitment to better social and emotional resources. Planning for the future is also a priority. He believes in the involvement of parents at all levels and a two-way relationship between the school and the family.

She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Family Human Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.
