On Tuesday, The Save Seawolf Hockey campaign announced that the school has raised the $3 million needed to reinstate the program.

The Seawolves will not participate in the 2021-2022 college hockey season. They still don't have a coach: Former coach Matt Curley resigned when his contract expired earlier this summer, and he has no schedule, no roster with nearly all players, and no game sessions. Uaa Seeks Local Coordinator For 2023 General Assembly
This is the 2022 schedule. Unless otherwise noted, Camps are held on the Anchorage campus.
The schools' virtual hours are 10:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute break for lunch. It's shorter than our in-person boot camp for a simple reason: we want to make sure participants don't experience zoom fatigue. We put a lot of educational and fun content into our virtual camps, so it's a good thing to keep participants engaged throughout the week.

The Academy's daily hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Participants must be picked up at 3:15 p.m. Lunch will be served at approximately 11:15 a.m. at no additional cost to participants. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks, but no additional snacks will be served during the day (

On Wednesdays, participants go on field trips from 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Participants will walk approximately 1 mile to Gorsuch Commons for lunch. Uaa Partners With Willamette University College Of Law To Expand Alaskans' Access To A Legal Education
The Seawolves announced a full 35-game season that will see the Green Gang travel only as an independent team. The Seawolves are now an independent team as the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, the league they played in, went out of business last year. UAA coach Matt Shasby said the free schedule is what the next generation of Seawolves is trying to recruit.
"Typically the college experience is what drives these kids; We took a bus from Tempe to Las Vegas and stopped at the Grand Canyon for two days. Long Island, We went to the Statue of Liberty. I go to Maine and eat lobster," Shasby said. "So the plan is to build these kids up on the ice and introduce them to what will be more memorable trips than their years at UAA."
On Sept. 23, UAA opens the season at home with the annual Green and Gold game scheduled for Sept. 24 against Simon Fraser. The season really gets on the ice Oct. 1-2 with UAA in the 2022 NCAA Tournament against Western Michigan.

"Our schedule for the first five, six weeks is going to be against anybody in college hockey," Shasby said.
The first Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup will be held Dec. 9-10 in Fairbanks before returning to Anchorage for the Dec. 16-17 games.
Shasby currently has 15 transfer D1 players on the roster; 14 front row Including 8 defenders and 3 goal scorers.
