The Massachusetts Asian American and Pacific Islander Commission (AAPIC) is the permanent advocacy organization on behalf of Asian Americans in Massachusetts. The commission's mission is to recognize and highlight the important contributions of Asian Americans to the social, cultural, economic, and political life of the Commonwealth; Identify and respond to the needs and challenges facing the peoples of Asia and the Pacific; and promote the well-being of this dynamic and diverse community, thereby promoting the interests of all who call Massachusetts home.

Ekta is currently a Senior Health Communication Specialist at FHI 360, an international non-profit organization.
