Wmu Academic Calendar Spring 2023 – Graduates of the Michigan WUM-Law School campus were honored at the graduation ceremony on May 12 at the Michigan State University Auditorium.

At the inception, 60 PhD degrees in Law and five Masters of Laws degrees were awarded to WMU Samuel Blatchford's class members. Karen Walksnice, chosen by her peers, made parting remarks. Hon. Sarah Schimke of Macomb County Probate Court delivered the keynote speech. .

Walksnice talked about the changes that have occurred during the three years of graduate law studies and how it can help in legal practice.

Each class at the Medical University of Warsaw is named after an outstanding representative of the legal profession. This graduate class is named after US Supreme Court Justice Samuel Blatchford. Blatchford was first introduced into law by his father who was a legal advisor to the Bank of England and the Bank of the United States. Western Michigan University (WMU) is a public research university in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was founded in 1903 by Dwight B. Waldo. Its number as of the fall semester 2019 was 21,470.

Bernhard Cter is a centrally located, multifunctional stud compound that provides a meeting space for student and community groups. Within Bernhard Cter is the Bronco Mall, a one-stop shop for students that includes a large 24-hour computer lab, a food court area with a subway, Biggby Cafe, The Burger Bros, numerous tables and chairs for eating and socializing, PNC Bank and one of the school's two bookstores. The Waldo Library and the attached University Computing Cter are located on the West Campus, as is the Dalton Musical Cter. The west campus is also home to the Miller Auditorium. The large tertainmt auditorium, seating nearly 3,500 people, is the fourth largest auditorium in Michigan. The Miller Auditorium hosts events ranging from popular musicals and concerts to graduation ceremonies and film screenings. The Gilmore Theater Complex, which houses three stages and faculty offices, is directly adjacent to the Miller Auditorium. Richmond Cter for Visual Arts was added to the Fine Arts complex in 2007, then South Kohrman Hall moved to Kohrman Hall Studios in 2008. Both buildings house the Gw Frostic School of Art.

The East Campus is an original development dating from the founding of the university in 1903. It contains many of the university's historic buildings, including East Hall, West Hall, North Hall, Walwood Hall, Spindler Hall, Vandercook Hall, and The Little Theater. Many of these buildings are located on a hill overlooking the city of Kalamazoo. Acquired in 1992, Walwood Hall is home to the Graduate College, the Graduate Studt Advisory Committee, the Medieval Institute, the WMU Research Bureau, and several other academic and administrative offices.

In December 2012, WMU announced plans to relocate its birthplace, the historic East Hall, to be used as a graduate student. Plans were also announced to demolish some of the university's original historic buildings and use the hill as a green space.

The original part of East Hall has been retained, but North Hall and the two side wings of East Hall have collapsed. East Hall re-opened in 2015 as the Heritage Hall that houses the WMU Alumni Cter.

In addition to the rotation of the East Hall, the portico of the North Hall has been preserved and placed north of the East Hall.
