Get ready for the biggest graduation party of student life, but Sunday's official reception for the Class of 2025 will be followed by a university-wide tailgate.
A workout session, breakfast buffet, and loads of treats—in-person classes are back, folks, and this year's festivities are bigger than ever.
Graduation Class 2025, the official welcome to the university for incoming classes is Sunday, August 29. The ceremony will mark the start of the academic year and will be the first of only two events at which the class will reunite (the other being Inception). This year will be the first special celebration since 2019, when the Class of 2023 arrived. on campus. This Sunday's most publicized celebration is based on a large average class of 2025 featuring 4,023 new terriers.

What's new this year? A post-graduation Terrier Tailgate at Nixon Stadium where the entire community can attend, including free food and lawn games. Plus, if you hang around, you can cheer for women's football as the team takes on UMass Amherst at 4 PM.
Ken Elmore (Wheelock '87), editor, student president, and Matriculation graduate says, "You get in the culture first. Even with everything going on in the world right now, we're glad we can still do it. We'll inform the city of Boston: The Class of 2025 has arrived. This is math graduation." We are grateful that it will be perhaps the largest gathering of family, parents and friends to witness their celebrations and traditions.
