The fall semester begins Monday, August 22nd and the last day of classes is Wednesday, December 8th at UT Dallas.

The University of Texas at Dallas is gearing up for the fall semester beginning August 22. The following information and resources will help students prepare for the new school year, which will also feature personal, online and hybrid classes.

Facility: Edith and Peter O'Donnell Jr., Near Naveen Jindal School of Management Building. Completion of the first phase is expected in the spring of 2024 Construction continues on a UDT station on the new Dallas Rapid Area Transit Silver Line near the North Side. It is scheduled to open by the end of 2024. As part of its renovation and expansion, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has moved to a new suite on the second floor of the Administration Building. The International Center plans to open the application to all US citizens when a new passport collection center in the Student Services Building opens on September 9. Recruitment can be done on the Center's website the coffee and technology shop in the visitor center and the university's high school shop are integrated into the shop. In Dallas, work is underway on Texas Instruments Biomedical Engineering and Science, a joint facility for UTD and UT Southwestern Medicine. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2023. Ignite Middle School / Ignite Middle School Calendar
Parking and Transportation: A temporary 300-space parking lot will open south of Lot M West, which was removed for Athenaeum construction. Parking permits can be purchased online and parking areas are outlined on this map. There are currently 64 parking spaces on campus near the UTD building or facility. There are 57 additional locations near the campus, and all bicycle repair stations are equipped with new equipment. Dining: Some dining areas on campus are open now, and the rest will open when the fall semester begins. Kalachandji Express, serving a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes with Indian flavours, is the latest addition to the Student Union Food Court. The Western Restaurant and Chick-fil-A Student Union has been redesigned with a new look. Tradecraft Coffee and Tea Bar has expanded its space at Naveen Jindal School of Management. Starship's food delivery robots are back in full force with Insomniac's late-night bakery Cookies opening on the North Side this fall, and diners can also order through the Boost mobile app. All seating hours and locations can be found on the dining website. You must be enrolled in a semester in which you are eligible to graduate, unless you are enrolled in absentia. Master's students will be mailed to the primary address on file at UT Dallas approximately 8 weeks after they begin their degree. In addition to summer doctoral students receiving their degrees at the Summer Doctoral Conference, doctoral students receive their degrees at the Commencement Ceremony. It is important to review your first name in Orion because it will be used for all initial publications and will appear on your diploma. If you want to make any changes, please follow the official name change process. Additionally, review and/or update your home address in Orion, as this is the address your diploma will be sent to after you receive your degree.
Applicants writing a thesis or dissertation should prepare their papers according to the guidelines in the Handbook and Thesis Reading Guide and the Submission and Certification Guide (December 2021).
The program differs from the Commencement and Ceremony in that the Doctoral Conference is held at the end of each semester. During this ceremony, doctoral candidates are celebrated by their supervising professor and dean. Diplomas are awarded at the Summer Ceremony only
